While exploring the rocky shores of Lake Tahoe by kayak, I came upon this incredible composition. Some of the boulders were over twenty feet above the water's surface. I took several reference shots with my camera and spent several weeks painting Lake Tahoe Rocky Cove" in the comfort of my studio where I was able to capture every detail of this amazing shoreline.
