Sharkfin Gap

I am often inspired to photograph and paint the California coast. The sea is more rugged and diverse between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay. Shark fin cove is in Davenport somewhere in between. The power of the Pacific Ocean over time dramatically erodes the shoreline. The resulting cap reveals what was once part of the mainland that looks like a shark fin.
