A Bridge to Where?

This is a bridge over East Weaver Creek, in Northern California. I was taken by the lighting on the bushes and trees creating such start contrasts, and by the somewhat indistinguishable direction that the trail headed on the other side of the bridge. Did the trail head left, was it up one of the directions... from this side of the bridge, the trail, like life, hid its final direction from us.
