Oil on wood. A drive through west Texas is always the same: an endless expanse of nothingness punctuated by clusters of wind turbines and the occasional oil well. But occasionally you'll come across a disused building that's been baking in the sun long enough to give it a kind of poignant decrepitude that I find oddly beautiful.
