Twinkie

Twinkie was an old soul with a suspicious nature, always looking over his shoulder. Could you blame him? It's hard to be a little guy in a big guy's world. This painting resulted for a commission from Twinkie's owner after he was killed in an encounter with another dog. I strove to capture his suspicion that the world had it in for him, as well as his alert and knowing nature. His pose in the reference shot said it all.
