"Sheepfold Repose" is an oil painting on a gessoed, cradled wood panel. After visiting a local sheep farm with my camera, I later used one of the images for the sheep in this studio painting. Replacing the cold, wintery background with a warm "sheepfold" wall seemed like the right artistic choice. I loved the way the light bounced off the warm hay. I loved the way the sheep appeared almost regal in their contented pose.
