Via della Pace, Rome

I was walking in Rome one evening that had a great deal of moisture in the air. The atmospherics contributed to some interesting and intriguing light characteristics. I chose to do the painting in my style of precision-pointillism, which I feel helps portray more of the subdued nature and dampness of the dusk. Capturing the building-light glow on the street, along with the lighter tones in the distance, makes an interesting palette.
