Mt Hood Oregon

Living the the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area, is an absolutely huge influence on my work. Getting to see and experience the mountains, rivers and surroundings daily is a gift. I try to share what I see with others.
This painting is based on the Plein Air studies, and reference photos, a studio painting of Mt Hood.
I'm influenced by so many painters, from the past and present.
From Edgar Payne, Franz Bischoff, William Wendt... so many others... and so many great, present day painters as well.
