Blustery Day

I used a variety of soft pastels on a lightly gritted paper. These horses belong to my friend. She quit her 9-5 job and bought a farm and is now living her dream. Her horses are her kids, her family. This pictured inspired me because it reminded me of my childhood, growing up in Buffalo, NY and having to walk to 3 miles to school during blustery days. I would bare my head down to my chest like the horses to avoid the brunt of the cold wind and snow whipping mt my face.
