I have been painting and teaching workshops at Caddo Lake for over 25 years. Caddo is a lake and bayou on the border between Texas and Louisiana. It includes one of the largest flooded cypress forests in the United States. It is one of my favorite places, and I never cease to be in awe of its magic. This painting was begun as a demonstration while teaching a workshop at Caddo and was finished in my studio.
