Peonies in a Painted Pitcher

I wanted to paint a simple-looking still life which would pull out all the stops and challenge every skill I have. The peonies are lit by two different sources and temperatures - very challenging to get right. Also working with translucency, transparency and reflected light. The tablecloth itself is also a complex color study of light and shadow.
