I have always admired and adored my father's knowledge of the importance of biodiversity and his life-long dedication to the protection of endangered birds of prey. I wanted to honor his legacy by painting him in the late afternoon with his devoted bird dog Carly and his gyrfalcon Zephyr before they go hawking in the fields.
