Abalone Point Beach

I painted this favorite Laguna Beach scene from a photo I took at dusk, watching the surfers in the rocky waves. I was inspired by the beautiful colors in the rocks and water, and the green luminous water. I had just moved away from Laguna Beach, and needed the refreshment of the color of the water again. I painted it quickly, enjoying looking deeply into the color changes in light and color.
