Celebrating Christmas in the Philippines after 7 years was so meaningful. I was inspired by the vibrant life, lights, the sound of waves during the night as I waited for midnight, drunk. Holidays always make me anxious and emotional. Plein air painting these vibrant trees while hearing the live band play old groovy Filipino songs made me cry, a happy one.
