The Verdant Meadow

This painting is from a roadside stop near Dean's Creek in Oregon. The grassy meadow was a brilliant green on this overcast day and a group of elk grazed on the rich grass. A small stream meandered through the meadow and reflected the violet clouds. I found the subject very zen-like.
