The Perfect Venue

This was a personal piece inspired by the beautiful wedding venue that I got married at. I chose this venue because the landscape was so beautiful that while touring the venue, all I wanted to do was set up my easel and paint. Since it wasn't possible to plein air paint this scene, with the owner's permission, I took reference photos and used multiple references to paint this panoramic image of the venue in my studio. I used this painting as part of the design for my invitations and thank you cards. This is painted with soft pastels on terra cotta Colourfix paper.
